I was at Coventry on Friday and saw the following piston engine being tested at CFS
Take a look at how close the guys are standing behind it!

Funnily enough on the A34 yesterday near Newbury I was passed by a lorry marked “Proptech” with three props aboard – one wearing obvious Dowty badges and one six bladed job – didn’t know you ngot those on anything with a single prop…

You don’t really want to worry about standing behind. Remember all the energy is going forwards. The danger areas are right in front (Doh! no really?!) or at the side. Behind is where least parts will end up if it all turns to confetti.
