Interfax: Venezuela to receive "Su-30MKV"

Venezuela to receive two Su-30MKV jets this year
MOSCOW. Aug 10 (Interfax-AVN) – The first two Sukhoi Su-30MKV
multipurpose jet fighters will be delivered to Venezuela this year, a
source in the Russian industrial and defense industry told Interfax on
Thursday.
“Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez during his visit to Moscow
expressed the desire that Rosoboronexport and the Sukhoi company begin
deliveries of Su-30 aircraft to Venezuela this year. It is difficult to
meet this request. Nevertheless, Russia is making every effort to
deliver the first two out of 24 jet fighters bought by Caracas in 2006,”
the source said.
The total value of the contact on delivering Su-30MKV jet fighters
is some $1.5 billion, he said.

What do you think? Considering the price of 1.5 billion can we expect some canards or even thrust vectoring? I ask myself why Chavez wants to get the first planes that early, does he want to make some sort of victory parade after the elections?
