Intrepid Aviation

Did Intrepid ever operate a Spitfire, I can find details of P51 and Harvard.

Yes TJ… As I said it’s currently owned by Peter Teichman and kept in Peter’s hanger at North Weald….

The SNJ7 (G-BRVG) was the Harvard derivative they owned, in fact David Gilmour still owns it.

What about the yellow Staggerwing he had? He is no longer based at North Weald is he?

Did Intrepid have a SNJ as well, or am I thinking of someone else? (Probably!)

They also had the Staggerwing (currently with Peter Teichman), a Gnat, Yak50 & 52 and a Stearman.

Intrepid operated Eddie Coventry’s TD248 for a season or two, although for bookings only as the aircraft remained based at Earls Colne. Norman Lees operated TE184 at times under their banner for a while as well. Intrepid never had their own Spitfire however.
