Lovely photos, thanks for showing us.
The owners of the B-25 HB-RDE and the T-28 HB-RCT, already based in Sion, also owns several other warbirds which are still based in different places in the world (South Africa, NZ, US, …). Discutions are on the way to build a new hangar and to welcome some more nice birds in Sion.

Hi Albert,
…
My back ground with this aircraft is I got to work on it when the late harry Doans owned it and kept it at New Smyrna Florida.
…
Cheers

I’m in charge of the technical file of that plane and I’m missing some documents dating before it’s delivery to france. If our B-25 is the one you work on it in Florida, you might have some very importante and usefull informations for us. Could you please contact me on Yves@jaf.ch
Thanks
Yves

A stunning selection of photos, Yves. It’s very unusual to see a vintage aircraft framed by such a spectacular backdrop – a reminder of those that flew the mountain routes on ops.
I particularly liked the crew walk photo. I’m no expert on the subject, but the attention to detail on period clothing is commendable, + the mountain backdrop, and the dude in the jeep!
A couple of questions if I may:
Do you have a link for an associated website for the operation? Or can you summarise for us the main details?
Exactly how cold was it up there? π
Thanks for posting
You should appreciate those ones then ?

Last week, the temperature was ok at 12000 feet, around 10Β°c in the cockpit. π
But for the ferry flight we made last january, we had -25Β°c in the aircraft ! π (We have removed all heating equipments)
PS: if you are a Seafurry fan: keep on looking to our association in the following months… ! π

Lovely pictures Yves, but can we have some more information on this aircraft? What is the civil registration, where is it based and who owns it? I am guessing you are in Switzerland, but perhaps this is the “Red Bull” B-25, as I don’t know of any others airworthy in Europe, except in France and Netherlands.
This one is the former F-AZID, now registered HB-RDE, based Sion Switzerland

Our B-25 is a B-25J, converted into TB-25N in 1944 then “reequiped” B-25J in 1945. The registry is HB-RDE and it’s based in Sion Swiss. The operator is “Jet Alpine Fighter”, the flying staff of Semalog SA.
