Invasion stripes

When did the use of invasion stripes on aircraft cease ?

I only ask, as I was looking at a picture of a very nice Radio controlled Sea Fury, which had stripes on it.
I then realised that the FAA Fury also had these stripes. Was their use carried forward to Korea ?
