Irish vandalism

Does anyone know anything about an American military transport that is currently stuck in Ireland having been vandalised by anti-war protesters? I heard it on the BBC today.

RE: Irish vandalism

Apparently after the first damage was inflicted the aircraft was moved into a hangar which was later stormed by five other people who overpowered the guard and I think, caused further damage, they were also arrested!

RE: Irish vandalism

Excuse my ignorance but is a C40 similar to a Galaxy style transport?

RE: Irish vandalism

Apparently it was a US Navy C-40 which was attacked at Shannon, damage was inflicted to the aircrafts nose, nose wheel, hydraulics and electrics and a 50 year old female peace protester has been charged with causing the damage said to be in the order of £330,000.
