But the news that an airworthy P51 N51RT (Donald Duck) is being donated to the RAFM by its owner to be stuck onto a turntable, prompted me to ask why?
Yet another airworthy aircraft going to gather dust and be shuffled around in some stuffy old museum instead of being out there with air beneath it’s wings…
The RAFM already has a P51, so why do they want another to be interred?? So this one will be moved to Cosford, but surely there must be a display airframe out there somewhere that can be painted up to look like the”Duck” if that is what the RAFM wants.
I just can’t see the logic in it. Can someone explain it to me??

I thought I knew the other day, but now I’m slightly perplexed as to whether that donkey had 3 legs, or if it was just hiding one in the pocket of its overcoat 🙁

Still it started a bit of a debate though……. 😮

It isn’t commercial aviation, but if you have a problem with it, simply don’t open the thread. 🙂

Yes, but this thread isn’t about Commercial Aviation and hasn’t been from the start. No one has argued at all on this thread, it’s just a sensible discussion.

Why is this a farce, we are having a debate about a situation that has occured on the forum. Maybe you should stop being a “SOFTLAD” and quit telling people to end this thread.
