G’day everyone im a member of the ‘Friends of Mirage A3-42 page on Facebook. I’m posting this to gauge if there is any intrest or anyone able to help in maybe bringing home another ex RAAF Mirage A3-48 and maybe one other from the Pakistani Air Force Museum storage facility.
These Mirgaes were built in Australia, and It would be nice to see one or two back ‘home’ . So here is my questions to you all, is there any interest to bring A3-48 home and restore her to display condition at say Avalon where she was built? Is anyone able to help with contacts at the PAF?
She would go on display undercover and be owned by the people how fund, donate to the restoration of A3-48 with a plaque or something. Over to you all for thougths and help. DJ

My first thought would be to start talking to those in Pakistan who would be concerned, and based on the experiences of others obtaining aircraft from Asia (Peter Vacher and Ray Hanna spring to mind) prepare for a loooooooooooooooooooong process.
