Just looking on the BMI Brussels page and the only airport listed is EDI. What about LBA? Has the flight been axed? I have got tickets for this flight in September and I need to know if it is still running or if I need to find something else fast.

Hi.
The bmi regional operated LBA-BRU route dose show up on the Brussels Airlines and Star Alliance websites with the following codeshare flights numbers which are bookable.
LBA-BRU BMR1611 = SN5270
BRU-LBA BMR1612 = SN5269
LBA-BRU BMR1613 = SN5272
BRU-LBA BMR1614 = SN5271
LBA-BRU BMR1615 = SN5274
BRU-LBA BMR1616 = SN5273

It might be that the operating airline has changed as BD used to operate LHR-BRU (I think on one of their ERJ’s!), however now these flights are operated by SN Brussels, and BD just code-share with them as they are both part of the Star Alliance.
If they were codesharing with SN, It would still appear on BMI’s website.
Whats the point in a codeshare if youre not going to sell your seats? :p

SN Brussels do codeshare on the LBA-BRU service but thats all the do along with Lufthansa and Air Malta.
The service operates as a full bmi regional service with bmi regional, Embrear 135’S, along with bmi flight numbers, Callsign and crews as LBArules has previously mentioned on here.

No problem LBArules.
It would be fantastic though if SN did codeshare on the LBA route with the bmi aircraft as it would open up more connections. SN did rather well in the past at LBA before the events of 9/11 flying four rotations a day with the Avro jets.

Thanks, runway32. Also if the BRS service is like the NCL service, the cabin crew also wear the SN uniform. The LBA service is completely bmi.

The Bristol flight is operated by bmi but with a SN flight number. The Leeds flight is operated by bmi with only a bmi flight number. Nothing to do with SN.

I think perhaps a quick call to BMI might be the fastest way to find out.
