It looks as if the Type 214 has taken the mantle of the worlds best SSK, and appears to be getting orders at an impressive pace. So my question is, is DCN working on an improved Scorpene???
With the french now working on the design for their new generaton SSN’s surely some of the new tech will filter through to the comercial SSK offerings?

It seems as mere speculation , where does Pak have the billions to spend on subs when its priority is clearly the F-16 which has been delayed due to earthquake .

Thats intresting, i have only seen it from JDW. Pakistan did float a tender for more foreign built submarines due to problem manufacturing agosta 90b, i thought chinese subs were also being considered?

The story came out from a french daily. Was refuted by DCN.
What can be said is that PN has send an RFI for a new design.
Apparently, DCN, Navantia and HDW received it. AT this stage, it is egal to nothing, and better even not to talk about it at all.

they were keeping it secretive for obvious reasons but there was leak and JDW reported.

Are there any details on the Marlin, or is it just a rumour at the moment?

The number of orders between 212/214 and Scorpene are quite close so far.
But of course, Thales-DCN is working on the following sub. And expect HDW to do it aslo. In the business industry, you MUST always look forward and ahead.
Else, you’re dead.
