Well it’s certainly there now – but I’ll be damned if I know why, when before I scanned those images, I could not see it. I’ll just put it down to age!

Puzzled!

Is there a connection between the posted image of the Provost and the Zlin and the website referred to below? If so, I must be pretty dense this morning as I cannot identify it. The posted image does not appear to be on that website. If I’m not being dense and what I have stated is correct, on which website is the image posted and where in Iraq was the picture taken? Also – in this event – what is the link between the posted image and the website to which a hyperlink is posted?

I think Tony T may be referring to the piston Provost’s Alvis Leonides engine being acquired as spares, maybe for an airworthy Pembroke? Actually this is one of Iraq’s Provosts delivered in the early ’50s and it would be great if this got restored intact.
