I found this at an estate sale here in the states and was wondering if it might be possible to determine the aircraft type or types it was used in.
Cheers and many thanks!

Gentlemen! You are bang on! It is a 6A/1512 and appears to be from 1944 or there abouts and looks to be standard on just about everything!
Alan,
That is a great website!
Cheers!

After poking around online I think it is a Mk.XII altimeter, Ref 6A/1512 (according to other posts on here in the past it may also have been used on later Mk.s which had different faces on them). See the following link http://www.gbairspares.co.uk/reference/bfp.htm and click on the
The photo I found shows it is rated to 4~000ft, the hundred foot needle is covering the second digit.

Looks Like early UK Jet Fighter Alt.
Hi Gary,
It looks like a mk 19 -ish Altimeter used on Hunters -Sea-Hawks and probably most of UK’s early -Mid 50’s RAF and NAVY Fighter Jets.
There should be a Sect /Ref No Stamped on the front Face plate, something Like :-
eg:- 6B / 3156 ( that will be a Mk.20C (P )though )
post that up here and it will be absolutely identified with several types of Fighter. 😀
