I acquired this control column a few months ago, it was being sold as being from either a WW1 airship or flyingboat, however, it looks like it is one from a Handley Page HP 0/400 bomber, it seems to match the ones in the photo’s I have seen of 0/400 columns, the one discrepency is the part number, the one for the 0/400 is E37, yet the number on the one I have is clearly F37, is it possible that it is 0/400 but has been miss-stamped, or is any one able to identify it as being from another type ?.

Thanks for the info.
According to the parts manual, drawing number E37 has 20+ parts drawn on it, including the top, intermediate & bottom fittings for the column, these are part numbers 94, 14 & 7. Drawing number E43 has the column tube “part number 15” as well as several other parts on it. The only part that I can find a number on, is the bottom fitting which is marked F37 .

Maybe
The drawing number for the “column tube” is E.43 which appears to cover the rubber pedals as well.
Drawing E.37 is associated with “socket (intermediate on 15 for elevator)”. 15 in this case being the column tube with housing and ball race.
I can offer documental proof if required.
