A bit off-topic, but did anyone happen to notice Cliff Robertson playing Uncle Ben in Spider-Man??

I believe that it’s the ex-Cliff Robertson aeroplane. Over to you, Mark12!

Genuine.

It is Gerry Billings in Cliff Robertson’s MK923 flying up his back garden strip at South Woodslee, just outside Windsor, Ontario.

Just a bit too short to land the Spitfire though, I recall… but maybe at a pinch.

If on a long lens it was taken from Gerry’s verandah or bedroom window!

Ah! I remember… shooting up the house in the back seat of Don Plumb’s Tr IX Spitfire just to rattle the shingles and make sure he was awake! 🙂

Gerry Billings – One of the Spitfire fraternity’s larger than life characters with over 50 years of continuous Spitfire flying. May they all fly forever.

This was discussed a while back, IIRC. MK923 – ex-Cliff Robertson Spit (I think being flown here by Jerry Billing?).
