Is this a standard part?

Hi all

Does anyone recognise this item as a standard part? It seems familiar to me for some reason. We are after 2 of them for a project, any length considered, but the longer the better as I can always run a die down them.

Thanks in advance.

Part number: AN44 for 1/4 diameter eye bolts (or AN44A if undrilled for split pin). Nominal length measured in 1/8″ increments.
Try LAS.

Hi – I don’t think I ever had the ref number. If you send/email your drawing and diameter of the shaft (2ba, 1/4″ etc.) they should be able to find the item for you. They are very helpful like that.

Thanks all.

Hi all

Thanks for the help so far, Whitley Project, do you remember the referance number for the part from Light Aero? These are needed for instrument panel mounts on a static rebuild of a WW11 type.

Whitley ones too. Seriously though, you can buy these from light aero. I had a pair for my front turret a while ago.

Had a look, the ones we have are a single fork to go between the dual one like yours unfortunately.

Think I might have a couple -look like the ones they use on the tailplane on Slingsby Cadet’s.

Looks like standard control surface hinges for any Slingsby glider to me. If used in airworthy aircarft, cutting an extended thread over the shaft would not be a very good idea…

Pa28’s use similar for holding the cabin door on as the hinge, may have some worn ones, need to look see if i binned them and measure them.
