Is this aeronautical?

Whilst at Turweston’s Wings & Wheels day one of the stall holders asked me whether I could id this wheel he had. I couldn’t but I thought I know a bunch of folks who could if it is aeronautical.
It was hard to read the words on it but some said:

Goodyear
Heat xx 26 V/3 6039
Serial No G1(?)2 x78xD(?)
Patt No 37899

Not sure any of that helps. x = unreadable and some of the rest is guesswork.

Over to you chaps. The lamp is a headlamp from a classic car for rough scale.

Thanks chaps – any advance on P38? That is unexpected but not really an area I’ve been into much.
I saw it and thought American but no idea as to what.

A.W. It certainly appears to be a similar pattern to some of the US wartime aircraft.
Down to those more informed than myself I’m afraid for a formal confirmation.

Regards Rad.
