How irresponsible can people be? There must be regulations as to how to properly go about this.
It says at the start that it’s just off the M11, so how far from Stanstead could this have been and what would the implications have been if things had gone wrong?
Also I’m thinking of aircraft going into Luton as well.

that was cool… but did you make any effort to check the airspace above or get any kind of permission to send that up into that airspace… That can present quite a danger to aircraft and people in the ground…

There was a great deal of publicity at the time. So this is very old news. The two blokes run the Essex Space Agency in Romford. I do not recall the questions you have raised being asked at the time so perhaps it was all above board and approved.
