Is this what I think it is?

Spliting my journey home from the Scale Model World show at Telford this weekend between Cosford’s conservation centre and the Ironbridge gorge museums I spotted this piece of aircraft structure in the ‘Enginuity museum’.

It not labelled, but it is either an aileron or an elevator.
What makes it perculiar are the inset hinge points, yet it is these (along with the overall shape) that makes me believe this is a Waco CG4 Hadrian elevator. Can anyone prove me right or wrong? It also looks suspiciously like a new build.
Is it an escapee from the Assault glider Trust at Shawbury or an apprentice piece from the aforementioned conservation centre at Cosford?

Enginuity has some other aviation related exhibits, a sectioned jet engine (viper?), a MB ejection seat and a Hunter drop tank
