Israel ex-Ouragan's

El Salvador purchased a total of 18 Ouragan from Israel two years later after they were retired from service.
Can anyone help me with their previous identity of these 18 aircraft and their c/n? or any other information about the purchase?

Thanks.

So you already have their c/no (yes i got them from aeroflight.co.uk).

Have you tried to ask the Israeli air force museum by mail?

I will browse around some more, to see what i can find online.

Mondariz, thanks for taking the time to search the web. The info you post is shown at aeroflight.co.uk but is incomplete. In El Salvador there is a total of 6 1/2 Ouragans: #705 (cockpit only at Museum), #706 at Museum, #709 as monument, #713 at Museum, #714 armed for static display and #716 at Museum.

Ive seen some photos of the FAS Ouragan wearing their c/n° right before the tail numbers were assigned and Im trying to match em up.

I have had a quick browse around and can help you with four aircraft. All delivered to El Salvador Air Force in 1974.

Serial: 707 c/no: 218 (destroyed at guerrilla raid at Ilopango 27.1.1982).

Serial: 709 c/no: 40 (preserved at Air Force Museum)

Serial: 710 c/no: 43 (crashed 15.7.1978).

Serial: 714 c/no: 185 (stored at Ilopango).

Three more are stored at Ilopango.
