israeli mirage IIIs in the six day war

how did the IDF/AF mirages do so well in 1967, considering the fact that their delta-winged design puts them at a disadvantage at dogfighting compared to arab MiGs and Su-7s?

was superior piloting the only cause?

also what AAMs, if any, were used in that war? AIM-9Bs? Shafrir-1s? Aphids? and did using these AAMs contribute to israeli superiority?

from what i’ve read most of the kills the mirages scored were with cannon, which isnt really consistent with the mirages’ lack of agility.
