It has been a bit of a week for French…

…related aviation books.

In today’s post the mighty ‘The Battle of France – Then And Now’, the work of years by Peter Cornwall and companion to ‘The Battle of Britain -Then And Now’ published by ‘After the Battle’.

A gem from ebay – A French publication ‘Le Trait D’Union Spitfire Special 1978’, over 100 pages detailing the individual histories of the post WWII French Spitfires.

…and most intriguing of all, a French publication – ‘Les avions britanniques aux coleurs francais’, British aircraft in French colours. Very expensive when first released but a clutch have come to light at Midland Counties and it is currently reduced to about half price.

Who would have thought that the French used some of the following:-

Many thanks. I might have guessed that F-BBCN would be there, spectre like, to remind us that her fate still has not been revealed!
