This time a year ago I packed my camera into the boot of my car with the intention of heading to Glasgow Airport to take photos of the inaugural US Airways service, inbound from Philadelphia.
Just after noon, as I was closing the boot, there was a loud bang like a thunderclap and as I drove down Maryhill Road to the motorway I was soon to discover that I wouldn’t be getting anywhere near the airport that day…
Two of the karaoke regulars in my local pub were among the victims. RIP
