Italian AF RF-4 Phantom and S-3 Viking evaluation 1970's

To all Italian aviation historians,

I would like to know if some one can tell if the AMI ever evaluated and/or plannend to buy RF-4E Phantoms? According to some (reliable?) sources the AMI did once had interest in the recce Phantoms and also a small number of S-3 Vikings (mid 1970’s). Also, did AMI evaluated other aircraft in the 1960’s to 1970’s period?
