Italian ATC Strike
Passengers should be aware that some flights to and from Italy from Birmingham will be affected on Friday 13th May following notification of strike action by Italian Air Traffic Control staff throughout Italy. The strike is reported to take place between 1200 and 1600 Italian local time on Friday.
Passengers due to travel to/from Italy via Birmingham on Friday 13th and Saturday 15th May, are advised to to check with their airline as to the status of their flight before leaving for the airport.

Looks like the strike season has started in earnest.
French security companies were due to go out on strike today, but very little if any impact on our schedules. French ATC are threatening to go on strike from Sunday night until Tues morning.
Seems that every May someone goes out on strike…
