Italian Tornados question

Hi,

Does anyone know what happened to the Italian Tornado ECR plan?
I gather the situation around 1990 was that the Italians had bought 100 Tornado IDS and had a requirement for 12 Tornado ECR.
The ECR was a German-Italian project, wasn’t it?
The Germans have their ECR’s, but what happened to the Italians?
Did they pull out of the ECR project, did they order 12 ECR’s or were some of their IDS brought to ECR standard?
