Once you start getting shots onto jp.net you’ll find it much more rewarding. I say that any free publicity is good publicity, and so planepictures.net is still worth it in that sense. But it takes a very interesting shot to get a decent number of views on pp.net, whereas jp.net gets a lot more coverage even with normal shots. The average views is around 350, and you can quite often reach above that.
A.net is worse than jp.net in that sense, average shots will not often get nearly as many views. But when you get an interesting one on a.net, the views can sometimes be astonishing!

Thanks 😀 Nice shot Wannabe.
BHXLocal, I have tried JP.net, infact, the photo above is currently in the queue.

Well done Matt! The first upload is always the most exciting, you’ll be watching it every half hour to see how many views it’s had.
This was my first: http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=171914
It was taken on the last day of Concorde, when I took the day off school to go and watch them resting together for the final time.
Less than 2 years on I have moved through 3 different cameras, and upload as many as 20 photos per week! It really is addictive…just you watch. The next one you’ll be aiming for is the first to hit 1000 views.

sssssst! He might replace this photo with a dull chinook!
LOL True 😉
Yes, but I’ve been showing the Commercial aviation forum my photos for the past year or so, and I’ve been working upto this point now, and it’s the commercial gang that have been giving me all the kind comments and support which has lead to this 🙂
Thanks all 🙂
Matt….. military matters belong on Modern Military.
That’s why the Forum is there in the first place, mate.
Bear it in mind in the future, eh?
In any case, your Fairford pictures got a good reception over there. Don’t tell me you haven’t looked?
Cheers

Don’t worry Matt, we aren’t too bad over there on the military forum 😉 Are we?

Ah bugger. I never announced my biggest photo achievement when I managed to get one of my photos onto Airliners.net a few months back. This is the most popular of all my photographs on JetPhotos.net and Airliners.net

You never know, he might even replace it with a picture of a civil commercial aircraft.
C’mon, Matt. Well done and all that but there is a Modern Military Forum, you know.
