I was talking to my friend Stew Dawson last night about the Brownsville, TX airshow last weekend. Stew was supposed to fly the Lone Star Flight Museum’s Spitfire Mk. XVI in the show, but he said when he flew down to Galvaston the airplane was not ready to go.
“So, what did you do???” I asked.
“Well” said Stewart, “I got in the Corsair to take it instead and the friggin right wing wouldn’t lock down.”
“So, what did you do then???”
“I came home”
