There seems to be a large amount of animosity on the forum.
I think it would be a great idea if we had a big forum getogether in Feb/Mar so that we can all put new faces to names and chat directly and get to know each other.
It would be nice if it was along the lines of the first Duxford getogether. We could have a raffle and raise money for the burns scholarship (which is now I believe dedicated to both the late Ray and Mark Hanna).
Just a thought, but it may allow people to get to know each other and improve the forum. 🙂

Is there any interest out there in another BBMF hanger visit?

As far as I am aware, the membership of one forum does not automatically exclude one from membership of the other. I have friends in both ‘places.’
Tony.
Happy to come to any meet I can get to, I remember the early ones well. Did we ever get any further with my Hurricane back armour?
Regards,

Thanx Kev
not sure we can find out anymore without more info
regards
Tony

BBMF and Fluffy: Yes pleeease. I will try not to bash anything this time 🙂

DS – will be there all day – perhaps we can persuade Fluffy et al to also come down to the DH museum, and we can reciprocate later in the year!
Bruce
Yeah, show him what the contents of a *real* vintage aviation hangar is supposed to look like…. 😉

You mean leave lovely Lincolnshire I’am not sure I have got a UK passport
You could practice for all the hills but driving up and down the humpy railway bridge on the A153 on the way to Sleaford. Take oxygen though, it is about six feet up.
What do you mean you don’t know what a hill is . . .

Ab-so-bloomin-lootly! 😀
It was a real high-spot of 2005 for me. This time I’ll have a tripod and wide angle lens – and I also might read my camera instruction manual first!!
If no-one else wants to go, I’ll have 25 tickets 😉
In the meantime I will also try to get to the De Havilland rematch, but am working in the morning.

I wish those who keep harping on about having got a new place would either just go, or stop banging on about it at every possible opportunity.

I wouldn’t have thought so , It was so boring see all the aircraft up close 😉
Like you need to ask !
It was very kind of you all last year to give your time to show us all around & it would be wonderful if you did it again.
Thanks
Martin

Due the fact that the majority of us are scattered around the British isles, not to mention the rest of the globe, would not a regional forum “get together” be a more practical solution. A lot of us can’t spare a day to travel from the distant corners of the country which is probably why it usually all falls apart. Not an ideal solution, but there you go.

In the end ‘the clique’ formed it’s own forum and b*ggered off–probably for the best in my honest.

you could bring a boxing ring along, and see if people are as brave in real life as they are on here!
Oh thats just great, more helpful (!) comments.

All are welcome to the Mosquito Museum on the 29th.
You can come for fun, or if you dont feel so inclined, you can hate it – I really dont mind!
It will be cold though – so if you want to ‘step outside’ then make sure you wrap up warm!
