Isnt Direct Holidays just one of the brochure trading names of the mighty Airtours/My Travel group ?

Yip, formerly an indie owned by John Boyle now of Zoom/Motherwell FC.

Arguably a trading name that fosters more market place confidence than either My Travel or Airtours right now? Does that make My Travel a medium sized tour operator ?

Yes,

the Boyle brothers ( owners of Zoom ) sold Direct Holidays to the Airtours Group in the mid to late 90’s.

My Travel will move their LAS charter service to GLA from PIK on behalf of Direct Holidays, a medium sized tour operator.

Yep very well said Allen.

You and Lance are two of the best members of this forum, and fairer mods we could have never wish to have found.

The amount of crap you have taken off of certain members is diabolical, and I admire both of you for the jobs you do.:)

Well said Allen.

But to get back on topic, yes My Travel will move their LAS charter service to GLA from PIK on behalf of Direct Holidays, a medium sized tour operator.

When i went to Vegas from BHX i actually didn’t mind the connection in EWR (despite all the hectic rushing nearly missing our connection by literally 5 mins!) as i like landing somewhere else another busy airport etc 😀 all depends on the person i guess…would you rather have a connection or direct?

I also got a pm from him. I think calling Grey Area Hitler was a bit OTT. He wasnt happy with Greay Area but could have voiced his opinions in a more diplomatic way

Back on topic, I presume the airline is MyTravel

EK and all his aliases needs to be chucked out along with certain others. I back Grey Area all the way and he knows that. EK and his “friends” are dragging this and other forums down as most people who contribute to local GLA forums already know.

One of the reasons I chucked modding was the fact I didn’t have the powers to ban people. Certain people play a good game of manipulating the forum opinion at large, whilst also firing PM’s around that are nothing short of downright personal abuse.

Leave your egos at the door chaps, you know who you are. 😡

Not to worry, Humberside – I’ll probably invade Poland later to cheer myself up. 😉

The airline is indeed MyTravel. I presume they’ll be using A330s as it’s a bit of a stretch for a B757.

Correct me if I am wrong but where the PIK flights not peak summer only running on a fortnightly frequency with SFB operating on the alternate weeks? If so then this is a capacity increase so good news with better frequency and will be operated by a A330 not slightly smaller 767.
