Here’s an interesting piece of info/rumor, I came across at the Pakistani defense forum:
” Not sure if its still a piece of news….
4 new case-hardened J10 were delivered to PLAAF recently, 2 J10 (xx101,xx102) did a flight show with 2 Su27UBK at the ceremony. Later the Su27 pilots said the capability of J10 is eximious, the J10 beated Su27 all 3 times in the dogfight show. J10 showed the launch-backward-track-control-system(maybe there’s one special word? ) also at the ceremony. They will test a new heavy fighter early next year.”
It was posted by CHNBOY and he said the item came from this link at a Chinese board.

Plawolf, can you help in translating?
Thanks, in advance.
Okay, if the report is true: they gave partial serials (xx101, xx102), hinted at superior manueverablity over su7s and said 4 “case-hardened” (tested?) ac have been handed over the PLAAF. Interesting, indeed.
Crobato, et al, what do you guys think the new heavy fighter mentioned could be? Are they calling the FC-1 a heavy fighter or could this be the new J-8 variant?
