Dear All,
I have been approached by a gentleman, Robert Taylor, who visits a small village in France fairly often and discovered a grave in the military section there of James Arthur MacDonald aged 21 killed 7 Feb 44 serving with 198 Sqn on Typhoons. On the grave until recently was a framed photo of said pilot. Unfortunately, on a recent visit the photo and frame were gone and the locals told Robert that the graveyard had been recently vandalised, as had the church. Robert is hoping to obtain a photograph of MacDonald to replace the missing item on his next visit. Can anyone help. It is such a shame to think that this brave young man’s sacrifice has been sullied by a bunch of vandals.
Yours aye
Tom
