I remember someone posting a thread about this pilot, I believe requesting info.
Jack Cleland flew in the RAF with 616 Sqn initially, but was one of the few Kiwi’s to also fly with the USAAF’s 363rd FS-357th FG.
There is a photo of this aircraft in Mustang a Documentary History by Jeffery Ethell ( ISBN 0 7106 0070 4 ), with a checkered nose, coded B6-V & named ?? ” Isobel III ” ??.
Unfortunately the photo doesn’t show the last digit(s) of the aircraft serial number-41357?? Can any one enlighten on the serial and confirm the name please.
