Jaguar flying up to 30 Apr 07

Possibly wrong thread (mods , please move if required)

6 Sqn Jaguars will be in Scotland overnight with a possible Flypast at Lossie before landing. Flying back tomorrow (sorry do not know route but favoured Scottish low fly routes may capture one).

Monday will be the last day that normal Jag flying will occur.

Best of luck;)

Is DAEC at RAF Cosford?

If so, then there’s a question mark above that, according to rumours. I don’t remember where, but I’m sure someone said RAF Cosford might be closing. Why would the RAF move all these airframes there, when they’d only have to be moved somewhere else relatively soon?

And then to the scrap yard, maybe one will end up in a museum if anyone thinks about asking for one quickly enough.

Check the websites for disposal of Jag Airframes ….. You will be surprized!!!

£7,500 for the frames the RAF binned last year!!

I hope these won’t all end up on the scrapheap, or hidden away in dark dank museums. I do hope that some of them will go into private hands – Can you imagine a Mr Meaner?

None of the last Jags are going to scrapheaps or private hands.

None of them are going to museums either…….

They ALL will be maintenance Airframes for the trainee GC of the RAF at DAEC Cosford!!!!!!;)

Why Lossiemouth? You ask. Because it was the site of the original Operational Conversion Unit, probably.

No doubt many of the older Jag drivers will have been trained there.
