I’d appreciate any assistance/feedback from anyone who can help trace photographs of Jaguars, for a magazine project I’m working on. I’m on the lookout for any good images, but in particular, I’m looking for pictures of the prototypes and development aircraft, and non-RAF machines. It’s amazing how such a well-photographed and popular aeroplane isn’t quite so well documented these days! Please PM me if anyone can help 🙂

I’m very pleased to see a picture of the Fly-By-Wire Jaguar. I worked on the Systems Engineering aspects of the Flight Control System from 1981 until 1984.
Those were the days…………..

See ‘Jaguar’ by Michael J. Gething, a warbirds fotofax book from 1989. I think this may be what your’e looking for. Has all the prototypes in and early service shots. All b/w photos though. There’s one on ebay for 4 quid.:eagerness:

Thanks for the leads chaps. I’m still looking around for interesting photos. It’s surprising how the Jaguar’s latter years are well photographed but go back a few more years and…

For pics of prototype and development aircraft surely the place to contact is the BAE Systems North West Heritage Group at Warton. They have access to much of the corporate data and have contributed greatly to a wide range of publications including books and magazines.
I think there is a link through the heritage pages on the main BAE Systems website.

You might try Damien Burke he was also known under HandmadeByMachine.com.
He had a pretty extensive collection of Jag photo’s.
