Having spent many happy hours at the end of Coltishall runway watching the Jags, could someone tell me when they are due to be retired from there next year as it will definately influence our holiday destination 2006, my missus needs to know as she seems to be the Jags greatest fan, while my youth wants to go to Dorset, he loves Jags as well though, otherwise I have my eye on a nice cottage not too far from the end of the runway.

41 Squadron will be disbanded by 31 March 2006, by that date 6 Squadron is due to have moved to Conningsby. RAF Coltishall is due to close as a flying station on 31 March 2006.

I think it is the 31st March they will be retired from Colt, though one squadron will move to i think Coningsby before being retired in 2007.

I thought they’d all been retired already. I don’t get to see that much in the way of fast jets around here unless they’re dropping into Brize for some reason but I’ll miss walking along the banks of Loch Lomond with the chance of one going acoross the Loch like his backside’s on fire and he’s trying to outrun the flames.
