This has gone so far off the original topic, that I am closing it.

If I find a moment to clean it up (a lot!), I may re-open it later!

I’ll leave the “gay thing” then if people are bored with it. I’m not on a crusade, I just thought we were having an interesting debate about the subject but fair enough, we’ve probably exhausted it in any case!

PS Monsun, I suspect Damien did like my last book/s and presumably bought them, otherwise he wouldn’t have been able to write-up his hilarious “reviews”!:p

I wonder if I could get the front canopy frame off it? If it just silicone sealant it wont last long.

You’ll have to be quick, I think it will be recovered soon by the people who built it, Gateguardsuk.

I will ask him when I see him, Robert.

Out of camera they were using self tapping screws to keep it together:)

Clearly another thread that needs to be laid to rest!

This is so far off topic, even Amelia Earhart’s looking for it.

It was going fine until post #34 – and as the subject matter at heart is the full scale replica I’d say that the introduction of other FSRs into the thread, is on topic.

Anyway, back on track, after watching the James May Airfix programme, my 13 yr old Daughter wants to have a go at putting a kit together, only draw back with this is she’s digging around in my highly valuable collection of early Airfix & Frog kits up in the loft:eek:

You need a lock on your loft door mate. Something I failed to do – I haven’t seen my small collection of 1960’s Penthouses since :diablo:

(Might have to start a new thread as this one is being destroyed)

Good idea that man, I agree………….

We need 4 i think,
1,Airfix kits/J May programme
2.Chox ,Have you written a book? sorry i genuinely didn’t know
3,Off topic Homophobia and sexuality
4, Large scale replicas ,why, how, where and more info:)
Back onto topic, did they actually say how much the 1 – 1 scale “Airfix” kit cost? especially compared with 1 – 1 scale alternatives.
Having said that i would guess the airfix version is very fragile and would,nt last long unless really protected indoors.
Any ideas how long it is likely to be on display at Cosford?:)

… maybe Top Gear should stop making any comments about the police in general to avoid anyone deciding that they can discount their education and attack police at will.

I’m with Plane Space on this one.

Peter

P.S. Chox, far be it from me to tell you what to do, but wouldn’t your time and effort be better spent writing another book, I really enjoyed the last one (unlike Damien Burke!)

Why did you choose that particular scheme? I still can’t decide on one (if I ever get the damn thing finished, that is )

Stuart

It’s not quite right yet, however, I ended up with this scheme as I like this period of the war and I don’t think N3290 has been done since (then).

What mark is yours?

The facts of the attack on the policeman in Liverpool will remain with the CPS until a prosecution is made . Therefore it’s wild speculation to believe that people watching Clarkson & co will instantly become adverse to gay policemen.
Indeed coming from the area attacks on policemen (gay or heterosexual) are not amazingly uncommon – maybe Top Gear should stop making any comments about the police in general to avoid anyone deciding that they can discount their education and attack police at will.
