Japanese F-2 AESA radar, fixed yet?

so in the mid 90s, Japan made one of the first AESA radars for a fighter aircraft.. but it sucked. poor range.

but did Japan fix it? some people here says they fixed its reliability issues, but I wanna see if there’s more concrete proof if it exists.
