I saw this over on WIX and after having watched it from start to finish I have the utmost respect for the courage that these guys had to go into battle day after day. Very humbling when you see the warbirds today all polished up you tend to forget the horrors of war.

Very sad and moving film. Particularly the B-29 that was dropping out of the formation at 6:49. I wonder what he was thinking seeing his chums disappearing ahead of him. Not being a military enthusiast I was surprised to see so many wrecked B-29s. After their Hiroshima/Nagasaki exploits I had thought they were almost impregnable. Clearly not.
