Good show!

ah well, just a thought… 🙂

See you there!

Hello John

Popped down yesterday for an hour or so. Looked like a good turnout from the public, and as already mentioned the weather was pretty good too. A very good mixture of planes and vehicles. Nice to see the Pucara and Auster outside, as well as the flypast by the Police chopper! One quick question – whose is the Canberra cockpit that was next to the TT.18?

Sorry I didn’t get a chance to chat, but you were busy showing folks the Vulcan cockpit, and I didn’t want to interrupt!

Cheers

Simon

NEAM 8th Sept “Jeeps & Jets”

Here’s a few pictures from “Jeeps & Jets” today at NEAM. The weather was great and there were quite a few public there, especially considering an England match ( apparently ) and local matches. We’re expecting tomorrow to have even more public.

We’ll probably be at the dance. We ( Wifey Lynne and Dad Stuart ) usually go to them.

Re display hall, I’d still want to keep my jeep at home as I use it so regularly for fun as well as events. As for the larger group vehicles, most of the guys with the big trucks live in the Hartlepool/Middlesborough area, and use an ex council bus station for storage. I can’t see them wanting to keep their vehicles so far away from home.

This is what I’ll be bringing to the event, USAAF stuff!

Vultee35, I trust you will be coming to the evening do…? See you there!
Apparently, there will be some guys manning the Bofors Gun during the weekend, providing we can get it up an running!

Just as an aside, what would your thoughts be for setting up a display hall for your vehicles on the NEAM site as part of the museum?

It was a good day last year, now expanded to a whole weekend. I’ll be there with the jeep, after all, I only live 4 miles away!

Here’s a few pics from last year.
