Jenson Button.

I’m a bit shocked by the media coverage of Button’s transfer.
A lot of media report interviews of people arguing that Jenson’s transfer wasn’t fair , nor elegant.

C’mon folks that’s F1 !!!!! As far as I know most of F1 team managers don’t hesitate a sec to fire a pilot overnight if there is a juicy contract in the balance or if they have the opportunity to hire a better one (ask Villeneuve).

That’s business and the whinning baby’s now are the one who act as boor most of the time.

I think that Jenson made a choice. That’s his right and that’s F1!

Haven’t heard of it recently but I thought that his initial contract with Williams was altered so that Williams had first refusal or the opportunity to call him back or something. Did that expire or is that part of the problem now?

Im not too sure about it. He had a contract, he should have stuck to it.
He WILL have a better chance of success with Williams purely because the team has experience. Button can’t wait for BAR Honda to get experience, he wont be around forever. He has to go for it now, and he can do so at Williams. Sad though, with me being a mad Button fan I recently bought a BAR Honda jacket – and then I found out he is moving to Williams. Great! Now I have to buy another jacket.
