The present MRS EN830 had to fly out to the UK this morning. After dropping her off I took time out to have a panning practice on some of the Aerobuses that frequent the airport at this time of the year.
They’re not really my thing but it helps me to keep my hand in for when I get a chance to photograph a much more interesting subject.
Here are a few from this morning.
Blue Island Jetstream 31. They operate two at the moment, inter-island and to the south coast. A third is due to join the company in the not too distant future.
VLM Fokker 50, arriving in from London City. I must admit as Aerobuses go the F27 and F50 are among my favourites, though this is well down the list compared to say a Westland Whirlwind 1 fighter.

Guernsey State Airways, Short 360 Flying Shoe Box. Guernsey is a great place to visit for a day. It’s also the only place I know that has one passport photograph for the whole population and uses the straight line method for their family trees.
Aviation Beauport Cessna 560XL Citation Excel, and an ATR belonging to Aer Arann, which I believe comes from some third world country off of the west coast of Wales.
A slightly closer shot, notice the lack of under cart 😉
You can’t beat a good Fokker.
The Eagle has nearly landed.
Other Airlines are available.

Do you get many Westland Whirlwind 1s round Jersey way these days, Ian? 🙂
No, mores the pity. Unfortunately targets would be few and far between 🙂
Some splendid panned shots there but If you’re not careful, these aerobuses will start to grow on you. 😀
I doubt that. There was a time 25 years ago when I would cycle to Bristol Airport to watch anything that flew. Today I prefer the old, rare and unusual. I don’t begrudge anyone they particular vein of interest when it comes to aviation, though I do find the collecting of serial numbers odd, what happens to them once they’ve been collected ??????

Had some spare time today “again”, the present Mrs En830 is in the UK for the weekend once again, which rather oddly coinsides with the milkman being away, again. Shame real I miss him delivering our milk in a morning.
Any how, I took time out to photograph some Aerobuses again, I tried a few different angles and shutter speeds.
Here are the results.
