i went on a day trip to guernsey to watch my cousin play in a friendly with a guernsey team and to explore the island

we arrived at jersey airport at 7am and checked in to Aurigny with no que we then went to the shop and got a drink, then had a some breakfast i had blt sandwich and coke we then went through to departure lounge at 7:19am and my sister got stoped as she had metal belt on, once we got through to the gate we waited 10 min then got called on boared at 7:30am we boarded the Saab SF-34OA and we took off on time and it was a very un-eventful flight we took off 8 min afterwe took off we started to decent and after 16 min we landed at guernsey international airport and headed off to arrivels and got a our hire car which we needed on tyhe island as we wanted to explore after my cousin played his match. we went round st peters port and went round the island and found a nice beach so we decided to sun bathe for 1hr and then it was back to the airport.

once we checked in at 5:30pm we headed off to get a bite to eat and to find a place to view the aircraft once i found somewhere i headed off there for a few muinites then we were told to go to the gate at 6pm and we boarded Short 360-300 which was the same we had coming here once on board they did the safty instructions and we headed off to the runway on time once in the air i got a drink and then it was time to land again there was no turbulance once we landed we got our car and headed home i found that the jersey – guernsey b y Aurigny is good they treat their coustermers good and there isnt much more that could be done on such a short flight a good thing was we were on time on both legs and the aircraft was good i wasnt too keen on the shorts 360 when i first saw it as when i arrived on the thursday a shorts 360 had stopped at the end of the runway and closed the runway and the fire engines were called out it stayed on the end of the runway for 20 mmin but then taxied to gate and got checked by maintenence.
overall i would give Aurigny 10/10 v.good service ontime and friendly

Personally I would have been very annoyed not to have got a Trislander both ways. Have always wanted to fly to Alderney on the BN2 Mk III but it is so dam expensive from Southampton. Even the Flybe flights to Jersey are expensive at £100+ for a weekend return (45 min each way!).

When My dad travelled around Australlia he flew on a “sunshine express shorts 360″he said it was a strange shape inside!

its ok for a 15 min hop i wouldnt like to do manchester – jerseyh or guernsey on it though

Interesting report, how’s the Shorts 360 for flying on, The cabin is really a box isn’t it? I find it one of the ugliest aircraft ever.
