For anyone who is interested, a Jet 2 737 is currently circling the airfield at around 2,000ft. Its not doing touch and gos as we often see here.
Presume its some training exercise…..

Yes Excel’s B743 TF-AMK on yet another flight to the Gulf, arriving from Brize Norton around 0905, it departed out to the Gulf (destination can be gained from flytecomm) about 1100, will be back tmro morning from the Gulf before departing to Brize Norton. XLA104 outbound XLA105 inbound

On a smiliar subject, we had a 747 200 or 300 go overhead this morning.
Presumably some troop movements going on?
Hell of a difference seeing that against the usual F70s and B737s!

As lba spotter stated, it was on a training flight. Arrived back at MAN at approx 15.00.

It’s a training flight by one off the Manchester based B737-300’s operating as Channex 100T.
Yesturday G-CELI (Jet2 Manchester) was up there for the same reason. Though she came up from the Leeds/Bradford base.
