Does anyone know which of the hangers at staverton jet age use??
poped in to photo the airframe that are out and about on the airfield today.i did get the 2 meteors, the javelin and the vulcan nose.i then drove around all of the airfield hangers and thought i spotted what looked like
canberra WK126 and other airframes?inside one of them?
but by the time i had turned around and driven back round past, a lorry was parked blocking the view?! :grr:
so wasn’t shore what i had spotted? what ever it was it did look to have a glass nose with a yellowish! under side?so might have been a canberra?
so question is ,if canberra WK126, Meteor WL349 and the other airframes listed in Wrecks and relics as being listed with Jet Age at staverton. anyone got an ideas were there keeped?
here the photos i did get.
on our return trip back down the M5 today, thought it would be silly not to pop in to update my photos of the relics keep there.

Great news. Especially for those of us who remember Skyfame, without whose pioneering work the preservation scene would look a lot poorer today.

The earth banks are part of the building project. They’ll be moving quite soon. The Museum hopes to begin building their permanent home next year so, over the next few months, the aircraft should be visible again.

that earth bank is now hiding the aircraft behind it:(??
so other than if you go into were all the caravans are stored, your not going to be able to see the airframes from the airfield side anymore??
looking at my photos again. the picture i got of WF784 think the other would have been just to the left of them in the photo, and before i cropped the image i might have been able to see if thay were there!

The Canberra WK126, Meteor T7 WL349, Meteor NF14 WS807 and Vampire XD506 are all stored at the far end on the airfield near where the new house has recently been completed. They’re visible in the aerial photos of the Airport’s Runway Safety Project on the Facebook page here: –
The E28 replica is kept in the hangar next to the Fire Station. Hope this helps.
