Jet Provost Colours

As has been said, Signal Red, Light Aircraft Grey and White, the wings being grey of course.

Bear in mind though that the roundel and fin flash red is still Post Office red and therefore darker.

Hope you get the serial number font style right too – nothing more horrible than a restored aircraft with Letraset-style Helvetica serials – ewww!

BS nos are BS381C no 541 Signal Red and BS381C no 627 Ligh Aircraft Grey

BS381C No 541 is maroon, BS381C No 537 is signal red.

it all depends on wether it’s a roller job or proper two-pack spray job

On a similar tack – I was asked by a static JP owner the other day if I could help with sourcing correct paint for a respray … and did I know anyone who would be able to do the job for him. If anyone can assist please send me a PM and I’ll put you in touch.

Great news that the hanger has been opened up for you over the winter, if anyone has taken any photos it would be interesting to see all the aircraft indoors?

yeah were trying to find a time slot in the hanger and enough bodies to get it done altohugh there haven’t been a lot around lately it most likely the weather, but by the time it warms up sufficiently for more people we might not have access any more

between everyone we’re trying to get all the aircraft a turn in the shed, as i believe both hunters could do with some care and attention

aren’t the wings grey though ????

If it’s for Nev’s JP, we gave Tony more than enough red paint for her, which had been mixed to the correct BS spec for us, so please ask him for it. He collected it from us in person a few months back.
The white has no BS spec as far as I know.

Tried that couldn’t see anything though
