Jet Provost Info

Hi guys,
Can anyone help me in my search for info/Photographs to aid me in my quest(!) to write a book covering the development/service history of the BAC/Hunting Jet Provost. I have scoured the web and so far i have over 100 images (pending copyright clearance),but i could do with a lot more. Stories/anacdotes/poems !/pictures/cartoons etc, all would give me a bit more material to work with.
Myself..well i worked on JP TMk5’s at RAF Cranwell during the early till late 80’s, and after leaving the ‘MOB’ five years ago, i now find myself looking after the TMk4 JP that is on display at the Cranwell Aviation Heritage Centre (I have just completed installation of a ‘virtual’ engine start feature in the airframe(sadly lacking real engine!), and i am most pleased with the realism achieved through the use of some meaty speakers and a PC !!).
If anyone would like to contribute material to me for possible inclusion in the planned publication (hopefully to be in print by 2005(JP 50th anniversary !)), i would be glad to hear from you.

All the best

Andy

I have stacks of JP slides and lots of manufacturers and MoD photos, as I am compiling material also for a JP book, as there is NOTHING published out there on this very much undervalued type. You should also look up the website “Jet Provost Heaven” and contact:

Mark Russell [mark@jetprovosts.com]

…..of course we are talking ‘serious’ JP photos of course, like this….
