……..We do have the adjustment cable under the part number K84-47-5461 which should be correct for all JP types… The inner cable is standard 5cwt size with a ball swaged on one end and cylinder shape on the other, 25 1/5 inches long. The outer sheath is 0.227 inches outside diameter and 21 inches long.

We may be interested to keep our spares stock going, the Mk4 (and Mk5) has a larger diameter jet pipe than the Mk3, do you know which it is ?

If your JP spares supply does yield a surplus of rudder adjuster cables can you keep us in mind ?

We have been the same up to now, with wooden bench seats being used for static engine runs but quite rightly we won’t allow a taxiable run until all systems are 100%, and a set of wandering rudder / toe brake pedals is definitely a no go.

Well we got the length specs but we are holding off as one of the crew might well be purchasing a quantity of JP spares and has been told that there could be cables in amongst it, i can forward the measurement as if yours have snapped they might well have stretched before hand

hopefully i will be fitting another set of pedals and finishing the first set off on wednesday as we still have the seats out at the moment and we are capable of running but sitting on a stool whilst taxing just won’t do

Did you have any success in getting hold of JP rudder adjuster cable measurements and a supplier for the same ?
We could’nt get to ours to measure for you, access being rather tight, but as one of our cables has just snapped we are going to have to remove the seat and get in there.

If you still need the measurements let me know and we can assist i’m sure.
We may be in a position to ask for several sets to be made up, and have a stock for when the next ones go!

Pedal Adjuster cables

to anyone who has a jet provost Mk3 or 4 cockpit section or a jet under restoration

can someone post a photo of a jet provost pedal adjuster cable. and desperately need lengths of cable and outer shield, i know one end is a barrel fitting and the other end ball and if i knew the lengths of the 2 things i can get them made up by speedy cables for XM365 as we have a set already fitted but with no way to adjust them at the moment. The only reply for a new one was from australia and the cost was astronomical as they were NOS genuine articles

we have all the parts other than the aforementioned pedal cable, is anyone knows the length or can take measurements of the inner cable and outer cover we can get them made up we have the fittings to fit to either end but alas no cable as they were removed from 365 and their whereabouts are unknown

We only need an inner tube for the nose wheel and it’ll be off jacks !!!!! The legs are pretty much done
