I’ve just realised that this photo is of the JP now airworthy at Newcastle. It was taken on Horse Guards Parade in Sept 1960 and must have been just prior to its issue to a unit,

Indeed they were!
I only saw the Hunter once more – at Acklington in 1962 as a DFLS visitor. The JP eluded me until Finningley 1994,

Wow Jim thatβs fantastic thank you so much for uploading this photo, if you do have anymore I would love to see them, I hoping to get as much info and pics as I can from when XM479 was in RAF service.

Hunter F6 XF420 was another pre-unit issue aircraft on display with it on Horse Guards.
