Jet2 adds Prague and Faro

Jet2 has added its 8th and 9th destinations (Prague and Faro) available from Leeds/Bradford Airport to add to it’s current list of Amsterdam, Alicante, Barcelona, Nice, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca and Milan Bergamo. This comes after higher than expected seat sales on other routes.

This also means that it is likely a 5th Boeing 737-300 will become based at LBA. All this before there operations are in full swing! – all the other routes are served at present, but May 1st is the day that the company puts many of its routes to daily.

Great News for LBA! – Geneva in the Pipeline for next on the list!

First flights to Prague Take off on 4th September

Preston – The authorities in FAO are insisting on 100% screening of all cabin baggage for flights to the UK. Screening seems to be completed by a one armed man with an eye patch as it takes forever. Funnily enough any TAP flight is exempt from this policy and gets a normal turnaround!

More good news for LBA heh Preston! 😀

A little annoyed at the Prague route. I really don’t know how BMI Baby will successfully operate an MME-Prague route when both LBA and NCL will have low cost operations going there!

I hope they get a better turn around in Faro than I did today! 2 hours 55 minutes, appalling!

They are ex-Ansett though the Jet2 aircraft are leased from the parent company Channel Express.

Good news. Good to see them expanding a bit further. They have just recently added another 737 to the fleet, right? An ex-Ansett?
