New Barcelona route announced
The airline began flights between Belfast and Prague earlier this year
Daily flights between Belfast and Barcelona will begin next month, a low-cost airline has announced.
A spokesman for Jet2.com said on Monday that the new route was being developed to meet customer demand.
In April, the Leeds-based company began operating a service between Belfast International Airport and Prague.
The Barcelona flights begin on 24 September, with fares starting from £21 each way.
Operating from Belfast International Airport, Jet2.com only entered the Northern Ireland market last November when it introduced daily flights to Leeds-Bradford.
Flights to mainland Europe have seen a large increase this year, with Easyjet offering flights to Paris, Nice, Malaga and Alicante.
Primeflight began operating twice-daily flights between Belfast and Brussels in March, aimed at business people.
Before these new routes, the only direct flight to continental Europe from Belfast was to Amsterdam.

Yeah 1 Jet2 737 based at BFS at the mo. Think it is only used on the Prague as Leeds is done by a Leeds based aircraft so doubt there will be another based. After that the seats are rolled off and it does night freight. Theres another Channex 737 based too for frieght

Glasgow, Jet2 have 1 based aircraft which also works for Freight for Channel Express. They also have based flight deck crew. G-CELY i think may be the based aircraft or G-CELD (its a QC 737 in any case)

Jet2 dont have 1 ac based at BFS so they might base there 1st one there now
